Connie Fisher

Finalist
Connie, aged 21, from
Haverfordwest in Pembrokeshire, is currently studying at Mountview Academy of
Theatre Arts in London, in the third and final year of her degree in Musical
Theatre. Whilst at Mountview she has performed in Annie Get Your Gun, A…my name
is Alice, Jerry’s Girls and most recently played Julie Jordan in Carousel at
the Bridewell Theatre. Connie also has a passion for acting and has played Beatie
in Roots, Margery in Vinegar Tom and Viola in Twelfth Night.
Prior to her training at Mountview she was a member of the National Youth Music Theatre of Great Britain (1999-2002), where she played Lady of the Lake in the Uk Tour of Pendragon and went on to play the lead role, Morgan Le Fay, when the production toured Japan in 2001. Connie was also a member of the Haverfordwest Operatic Society where she appeared in Mabel in Pirates of Penzance. From a young age she was a member of Côr Newyddion Da which introduced her to the Eisteddfodic field and encouraged her to perform as a soloist. She competed annually in the Urdd, National and International Eisteddfods and in 2002 Connie won the Wilbert Lloyd Roberts Scholarship in the National Eisteddfod Songs from the Shows competition.
Connie has made numerous
television appearances including Jane McDonald’s Star for a Night, Owen Money’s
Just Up Your Street, BBC Children in Need, Can I Cymru and will be performing
in a Noson Lawen, which will be shown in March 2005. Connie’s ambition is to
perform on the West End stage.
